Biography

KANYANGE Louise is a Rwandan artist, passionate about painting and other means of art like drawing, illustration, designing and handcrafting. She was born on January 20th, 1999, in Kigali city, Nyarugenge district. She draws inspiration from the daily life, memories and life stories of different people. She studied arts in the advanced level at École d’Art de Nyundo since 2016. She started doing live paintings in several events in order to communicate her message to a big range of people in a little time because she dreams of making a better change to the human society.
In 2017, KANYANGE Louise emerged as the best graphic artist countrywide and She received an award from Imbuto Foundation. The very year, practicing her career, she worked at Inshuti Arts and Culture Center located in Musanze district, Northern province.
In 2018, KANYANGE Louise was selected as the best painter of the Northern province in Art Rwanda Ubuhanzi competition. Therefore, KANYANGE Louise was among seventy artists who were selected in the whole country. The same year, KANYANGE Louise   joined Tuko Girls Arts at Kuruu Art space in Nyarugenge district where She is a representative of painting department.
In 2019, KANYANGE Louise presented Rwanda as painter in Luanda Biennal Pan-African forum in Angola. Since July 2019, she was working at Envision Rwanda, in Kicukiro, as a painter.
KANYANGE Louise attended different art trainings like Cutarship training provided by Ishyo Art Center, illustration training provided by Save the Children, business trainings for art marketing by DOT Rwanda.
Apart from art, KANYANGE Louise has skills in Information Technology (IT). She got a certificate in Cisco Networking and IT essentials. She has printing skills that she retained from a printing house during a training of four months. KANYANGE Louise is credible of taking a public speech because she has a certificate in public speaking.
